Cabinet Tins

Can you believe that there are still items in my kitchen that I haven't blogged about? I have cabinets that do not go all the way to the ceiling. Until I change that, I have a few tins and such sitting on top.

My friend gave me my Wise potato chip container. Don't ya wish chips still came in this type of package? For the cost of them these days, they really should!

The sausage tin is such a favorite of mine. One day I had wandered over to my favorite Candlelight Antiques and while browsing through I came upon a man shopping and he had a tin in his hand examining it closely. I was secretly wishing that he would put it back on the shelf! And you guessed it, HE DID!  I love the red and green on it! (I heard that he went back looking for it! Oops!)

Close up shot of my bubble tin. I wonder what this once held.

Our two daughters  have made it home from college and  the house is once again loud and lively! But so thankful  that we can all be together for the holiday.

Hope your Rednesday is wonderful!

Love the tins. I chuckled about the potato chip tin and the price of chips. Better Made chips are locally made and I grew up on them. I can remember going to the factory store in Detroit with my parents to buy the chips. I've sworn up and down that I won't eat any other chip.
Well, that was until they've gotten so expensive. I bought store brand chips recently. They're not quite the same, but they'll do in a pinch. :-)

I have never seen that bubble tin before - it's awesome! If you EVER see another one in that pattern, scoop it up for me!

Do you have trouble snapping pics of your tins up there? Mine come out so much darker - I think I need an assistant to hold a light!

You have a nice assortment of tins. I have very few since I have no where to display them.

Hi, hopped over from Rednesday. I love your tin collection! Yes, I so wish that things still came in cute tins like those. Love, love the bubble tin. I imagine if full of detergent or bubble bath. lol! I have a tin collection, but most of mine are not real old. I had them on a shelf in my childrens playhouse. Now we are in a new home. They are boxed down stairs waiting for us to build a new play house for the grandies. I am now a new follower.

Great, great tins! And I see no cobwebs! If this was my house, I think you might see a few of them!

I really enjoyed your tins and your stories about them. Glad your girls are home!

Happy Thanksgiving!

(Did I end any of those sentences with just a plain old period?!?!?!? I don't think so! Too much coffee?!?!?!?!)

Oh I am so glad that you were able to get the sausage tin. That is a great looking tin. I like the bubble one, too. But the Wise one is the best. Love it! And a whole 99 cents for the chips!Maybe someday they will go back to selling things in decent containers so that we can repurpose them. But unfortunately, so many would still end up in a landfill.

I have alot of space above my cabinets and I really enjoy having a place to put some of my collectibles. Too much up there only means that much more to clean, though.

Enjoy having your girls home
Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm crazy about your tin collection! And I can't decide which is my favorite, the owl one or the bubble one. But I do agree that with how expensive everything is these days, they should be selling it all in cute tins!
Happy REDnesday and Happy Thanksgiving!

Isn't it great to have cupboards that don't go to the ceiling - I don't know what I would do without that storage area. Love the red tins!! I follow you on Pinterest....

I love the sausage tin. It's almost Christmasy (if sausage can be Christmasy).

Love these vintage tins. I'd collect them myself if I had somewhere in my house to display them. Unfortunately, my cabinets go up to a soffit = ugly! lol
