Today I went to the Nashville Flea Market.
After shopping there and several other favorites in Franklin, I ventured south to Spring Hill, Tennessee.
I visited this precious little shoppe that many of you know oh so well! Vintage Junky!
There I fell in love with Valentines cards that were sent with "Love" to Amelia!
Her mother had ever so kindly saved each and every one that Miss Amelia had ever received. Or so it seemed!
I picked out a few to take home with me as I enjoyed a conversation with the Mister of the store. He was very friendly and gracious. He has an etsy shop with some of his chalkboard creations here...CustomChalk.
I was admiring this little paper sack that was sitting close to the counter. He told me if I would pick out some cards that he would throw in the sack. :) Oh Happy Day! Who knew that Valentines once came in a paper sack!
Miss Amelia's mother even dated the bag. How sweet. I wonder where Amelia is now. And did she save the Valentines of her own little girl? There I go again...off in a place I call Sandie Land! lol
If you are ever in Nashville or Franklin on a vacation, it will be worth your while to add Vintage Junky to your list of places to visit. I am planning on visiting again soon so I might meet the Mrs. of the shop who works wonders with paint!
Happy Weekend Friends!

An Oldie but hopefully a Goody!
Hello friends, It has been a busy week and I have had no time to take any new pics so I pulled out one from one of my first few posts.
This tray sits to the left of my sink and makes me happy when I am doing dishes. Speaking of dishes, I should be in there "Gettin Happy" with them right now!
But no...I have to get my daughters car repaired.
Hopefully will see you tomorrow! It's off to the car dealership.
Hope Your Thursday is Grand!

Well, have you guessed what the answer could be?
Spoons! Yes, I know you all got the answer correct. But just look at them, how could I resist? Just think of all the great cakes they have helped to create! Yum.
Oh, and this box of Jar Rings just makes me happy. The shelf liners are fabulous but the gingham blue box, Oh My Word!!!
Edited to add...There is a box of these on Ebay right now (minus the womans picture) for 48.50. Mine just may be up for sale! ;)
Trying to get Happy Acres a little cleaner today. Its a slo-go though!
Happy Monday Blogworld!

This little child's cupboard is where my new, red truck has been residing! The cupboard needs some work, like paint and a cute, little knob. It sits at the end of my kitchen island.
I stack platters here that need a good home.
Brushes are my new love. Just love these colors! Sigh....
Trying to get a lot accomplished, but just spinning my wheels! January is always this way for me. I am like an old bear and just love to hibernate this month away. Maybe I'll just wait 'til Monday! Yeah, that's it. Monday! Monday I will start back to work! See Ya then! ;)
Happy "Hibernating Weekend" My Friends!

Hello Everyone! Been Missing Y'all! Here are a few things I found that I haven't shared.
Finally found a measuring spoon set in the Perfect colors!
These little spoons would brighten up any picnic!
A little red brush perfect for holding my corn muffin recipe!
Hope everyone is well in blogland. I am recovering from my trip with over 40 teenagers! Gettin' a little old for that!
Happy Rednesday to all who love Red!! And Happy Wednesday to all who don't!! ;)

While Dear John holds down the fort, I will be attending the Strength to Stand Student Bible Conference at The Smokey Mountains.
I'll be one of the "Big Kids" acting a fool while this guy sings to us!
Just wanted to give a shout out to any other bloggers who may be attending. I will be with the Piney Grove Youth Group. We will be wearing red t-shirts that say IGNITE on the front! I would love to meet you!
Heading out Early in the morning!
Happy Weekend Everyone!

These are the ones that I am keeping (maybe a few more!) but the majority of them will be for sale in my new venture!
My parents and I now have a booth in a new antique store that has opened in our area! We still are working out all the kinks and adjusting it and readjusting it. When we get it where we are happy I will take a few pics to show!
I was there today and a lady recognized me from my blog! What fun! She is a photographer and has two blogs. One is her beautiful photography and she just started a new vintage blog. Her photography work is amazing. If you have a chance hop, skip, and jump on over there for a visit @ Amy's Photo Blog and also With a Vintage Twist! I think you will be glad that you did!
Happy Friday Everyone!

To celebrate the New Year I added some "New" items to my green wire shelves.
Would you like a bowl of Sclater's Ice Cream? It is Superior ya know.
Or you could try Slen-Dee Dairy Dessert. I am not sure but I don't think it is as Delicious or Homemade like Dumms makes!
Oh, I am sorry. I forgot that you are trying to lay off the sweets for the"New" Year! How about some nice "Morning Fresh" fried eggs instead?
Eggs make every morning a "Good Morning"!
And as every Chicken Chef says, "They are A Better Way to Start Your Day"!
Happy Rednesday Everyone!
Also linking up to Dottie Hop Day!

I was honored to be asked to help decorate a baby shower for my best friends niece Sarah Ann.
Maci Claire's expected arrival is February 12th.
We used the colors of her nursery for her shower. A soft pink, khaki, and creamy white.
I can't wait to see beautiful Maci. Sarah is the same age as my Callie and I have watched her grow up to become a beautiful young lady. She was in our school carpool and the memories of her and Callie giggling in the back seat just keep rushing through my mind.
Pink Lemonade in Milk Bottles with Sweet Straws!
The sign in table. The clipboard was replaced with a vintage suitcase full of "Sweet" treats for the guests to take home. I forgot to get a picture of it.
These were the labels on the water bottles.
The Nutrition Facts were the sweetest!
Here is our sweet Sarah.
Once again, thanks for dropping in on my blog! You all are such a "Sweet" blessing to me!
